Special Occasion Speech

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Good evening everyone, and welcome to this modest party, which, however, cost me a fortune. I am eternally grateful to all of you for coming to my 23rd… August celebration of my 45th birthday.

I am delighted that in this world, there are so many amazing people who care about me, although I am sure that half of you came here exclusively for a delicious cake. Well, I do not blame you for that, so let me use this moment to sincerely thank the Universe Restaurant for organizing this banquet. Thank you, you exceeded all my expectations!

I would also like to thank my incomparable mother, who took all the worries of the past two weeks on herself. Just imagine, forty-five years have passed, and I still cannot imagine how I would have lived up to this moment without her support.

When I think about the passing years, I try to recall my sweetest memories and relive them again. What warms my heart is that in my dearest moments, you all were with me: my family, my friends, and my relatives. You were supporting me, caring about me, laughing with or at me (of course, that also happened).

I would like to take advantage of the fact that everyone is listening to me and is not going to take the microphone away from me yet. I want to appeal to the representatives of the younger generation, our children and grandchildren, who also honored me with their presence today. I know very well how you do not like notation, but consider listening patiently to be your present for me. Besides, I want to feel like a real philosopher for at least a couple of minutes.

Dear youth, you have a whole life ahead of you, and it will pass by unnoticed. Do not waste your precious minutes on bragging, jealousy, ignorance, complexes, and fears. Live, every day and every minute, having fun, striving for knowledge, loving, laughing, and crying. These are the moments you will want to remember later. Well, of course, more than once, you will remember, for example, that annoying girl from high school, no way to escape this. The most important thing is to live out of this life everything you can.

I think the time for invaluable advice is over, young people can relax, and I invite everyone else to finally enjoy this cake!
