Private Facilities for Troubled Teenagers

Changing living standards and lifestyles have been playing a dynamic role in changing the manner in which children behave. Currently, there has been the need of redefining the term Juvenile Delinquency due to the fact that the results and forces in society have been causing these adoptions with children in general. For instance, there has been an upsurge of children in criminal activities, and this has been due to a number of factors such as increased single-headed families which see the children not properly mentored and guided. This has been noted to have a direct connection to increased cases of juvenile delinquency. Another important feature has been due to increased poverty within the society in which more and more people have continued to turn to criminal activities (Rose 44). Increased gangster activities have as well been playing a major role in seeing increased cases of juveniles in different nations. In that case, when there have been children involved in these forms of criminal activities, there has been the need of taking them to the facilities which generally help these troubled teenagers. This paper hence comes up with three private facilities for troubled teenagers and how they have been managed.

Private Facilities for Troubled Teenagers

The main role of facilities is to help people and give them necessary correctional assistance. With increasing changes and cases of Juvenile delinquency in many parts of the country this day, there has been an increase in both the government-managed and private managed institutions and facilities willing to give correctional assistance to the people juveniles who have been engaged in criminal activities (Rose 65). This is something that has been done by coming up with more private facilities for troubled teenagers. The most acceptable opinion is in the need of ensuring that all children who have been not favored by the society and societal functions such as poverty do not end up in criminal activities or having any sort of induction in drug consumption which has been caused for stress and depression. This might end up seeing the child becoming useless in society, and fact, a liability. There has been an upsurge of private facilities which have been giving the necessary aid and assistance to these troubled youths and teenagers in general.

One of the well-known private facilities in the country is the ‘Turning Winds Academic Institute’ which has been giving assistance to these troubled teenagers. In terms of review, this is a school-like organization that gives appropriate guidance which is believed to impact positively on the performance of the teenage by giving him or her the necessary knowledge, information and guidance which has the ability to negotiate own understanding thus making it possible for such a child to achieve own personal development and as well evade some of the societal structures which might drag him or her into criminal activities (Rose 59). Some of the teenagers who have been involved in drug-taking and depression are also advised, counseled, and guided in order to make sure that they become good people who have different targets and goals for their lives (Siegel & Welsh 49). The management of this facility has been making sure that the troubled teenagers in the society have been encouraged to come for the training and be guided accordingly. This has been done by ensuring there is an effective way of having all parents given a sense of the function of the training facility and how it can effectively ensure that the troubled young men have been assisted.

Basically, this facility has been giving effective guidance and mentorship for the youth who might have been ignored by society, taken into drinking and drug abuse, and then guiding them appropriately thus being able to change their lives. However, some other training on topics such as, ‘means of personal development and ‘Engaging in creative and beneficial activities’, have not been done here. In terms of cost, since it is a private facility, there has been the charging of high amounts of costs which many people might find hard to afford. However, this facility has been making sure that it gives the necessary financial assistance and benefactions to the individuals and families which might not be well up (Joseph 65).

We may not be able to talk of these private facilities for troubled youths without mentioning Philadelphia Boot Camp Juvenile for the Troubled Teens. This is a camp that mainly trains troubled youths, with the other youths, ways through which they may be able to get rid of their actions and involvement in criminal activities (Siegel & Welsh 51). This is something that has been achieved by ensuring that the troubled youths have been effectively guided and given ways and measures through which they may be able to achieve their own self-reliance and by so doing be able to live better lives. However, in this facility, there has been more exposure to economic activities other than giving them much guidance and counseling. All the same, this has been working miracles thus making it possible to have reformed individuals from the facility. This has hence been rated as one of the best performing private facilities for helping the troubled youths in the country (Joseph 71). This facility has also not been charging much cost and hence the majority of the troubled youths and teenagers, in general, have been able to afford the services and hence become good people within the society.

The other important facility giving private services for the troubled teenagers in the country is the Military Boarding for Troubled Teens. This facility has been able to emerge as one of the leading institutions which have been able to offer necessary guidance and counseling to the troubled youths within the society. This guidance and counseling have also been combined with effective training through which the people have been given the necessary help and attention which they deserve for reformation. While doing that, there has been the necessity of teaching them the right measures and means through which they may get engaged in economic activities which can help them be able to become self-sustained individuals once they have been able to come out of the facility. This has been the reason why this facility has been playing a major role. Considerable costs have been charged by this military institution hence making it possible for youths and their respective families to be able to afford (Joseph 79).

Conclusive Summary

Looking at the performance of all these three private facilities, I can confidently say that all people should think of them and make sure they utilize them because they can be effective in ensuring that there has been a great change in our society (Siegel & Welsh 67). In evaluation, these facilities are options that I would recommend as a professional probation officer who has useful knowledge and idea in the juvenile justice field. This is the case because there has been a great performance that has been able to bring better change which ensures that the troubled teenagers have been able to get proper care and attention thus helping the majority of the troubled teenagers in society. More operations of this kind shall be useful for society in seeing better persons and reduced cases of criminal activities. The most important for any facility aimed at dealing and addressing the problems of juvenile delinquency is by making sure that there have been effective measures of training and guidance which have been put in place in ensuring that only the profitable operations have been conducted in the facility (Siegel & Welsh 92). This should be reviewed from the benefits which come as a result. The better the results, the more promising the operations are, and the better the performance can be useful to the greatest number of troubled teenagers within our societies.
